The Encyclopedia of Slide Layouts is now available on Amazon.com. Several years in the making, the book contains 169 real world slides, with commentary on each one, and with the Slide Chooser serving as the organizing framework for the whole book. The book also contains an introduction that provides an overview of the Extreme Presentation(tm) method, in case you haven't attended one of our workshops or read the earlier books.
The way to use the book is to start with an idea of what you're trying to communicate with your slide, then use the Slide Chooser to get some recommendations of layouts that would do that effectively. This will then point you to the relevant chapter in the book, where you can see several examples of that slide layout in action, with further guidance on how to draw the particular layout, and what options and alternatives to consider.
Here's an early review of the book from Melissa at SpeakerSpeak.
Enjoy, and please let us know what you think of it!
